Cinderella Man

Brian and Krista: This movie is coming your way soon. Just wondering if you got it yet?

Tammy and I finally watched Cinderella Man last evening. It is based on a true story. If you haven't watched it yet I recommend viewing it. It was a good movie. These images I found on the Web. They are pictures of the original two boxers. They are Max Bauer and Jim Braddox. Good Movie.

You may be interested to know this:

On June 13th, 1935, in Long Island City, N.Y., Braddock, as a 10 to 1 underdog, won the heavyweight championship of the world from Max Baer. The general reaction in most quarters was described as, "the greatest fistic upset since the defeat of John L. Sullivan by Jim Corbett". Braddock would lose his heavyweight title two years later in an 8 round KO to "The Brown Bomber", Joe Louis.
Oh yeah! I forgot, Russel Crowe plays the part of Jim Braddox in this movie. He did a good job.

Star Wars III

Well, we finally saw Star Wars III. I thought it was pretty good; at least it kept my attention. I really liked Darth Vader. Too bad about his choice to switch to the dark side. If only....

Harry Potter

Well, we finally did it. We went to the Harry Potter Goblet of Fire movie last evening. I actually thought it was pretty good even though I am still on book one.
The new movie theatre here in Pocatello is nice, but overall I was disappointed in the new facility. It is small........ and the seats are not very comfortable, and do not recline. Oh, well. The movie was pretty good.

Tammy's new hangout

Check this out....may as well get rid of the bed and put a sofa in here.
No more competition. She has her own setup and is getting into genealogy again.
I thought I'd throw this one in here to show you that I did get the tree unplugged, but haven't got around to taking it down yet.

They are all over the place

I got to looking around and found out that GINGERBREAD BABIES are plentiful; if you look hard they are all over the place aren't they?

Babies, Any Gingerbread Babies OUT THERE

For GOODNESS SAKES; look what I found today in my kitchen; why, it's 2 gingerbread babies.
I found this gingerbread baby in my car this morning
I don't know if you've heard this, but the gingerbread man might be someone you least expect.

Decorations Galore

It took awhile, but I was finally able to find the time to get this tree decorated up. See we aren't scrooges; really now.
I got out this decoration and put it up so don't call be a scrooge anymore.
This is the present that takes the prize for the largest. It is marked fragile and was delivered by some lady in a car, which I thought was strange. I wonder what it is?
Trav and Mel's box came the other day. It is marked fragile all over the outside of the box. I wonder what it could be. I might take it to work and x-ray it.
This present is straight form SUNG PU NORTH ALLEY....I hope it doesn't have any Sung Pu food in it.
I thought someone might be interested in checking this out.
Another shot

Merry Christmas Santa

Check out this cute link. Let the kids do the puzzle.

Love you guys

Jack Frost came to see us last night

It was interesting to go outside this morning and see the frost. This was not from a snow storm; it was just frost that built up overnight.

It was really pretty

Our Christmas Decorations so far

This is where our Christmas tree should be, but Tammy is too lazy to put it up.

Colonscopy and a late night

Well, this is the story. Today at 9:30 a.m. I am having a colonscopy. Nothing to be alarmed about. It is just a check up. A few years ago I can one and had a polyp (small growth removed) and now I am having a follow-up to check things out again. The bowel prep is gross and is the hardest part of the exam. It really makes you feel nauseated. Yuck.

Promotion and Tenure

Okay people I'm telling you this before I tell Tammy because she is on the bus and I can't get a hold of her.... but I (little ole me) was promoted to an associate professor and received tenure today. For those of you who do not know---tenure is a big deal. It means I now have a job that is more permanent----meaning I will not have to renew my contract every year. Yeah! I was ecstatic.
