nightmare

My latest project pictures. Today, actually yesterday, I decided to make the mess in the family room even more unsightly. These pictures pretty much tell what I've been up to. I decided that while the room is a mess anyway why not wire it for a flat panel plasma or LCD TV to put above the fireplace. Not to say I can afford to buy one but at least it will be flat panel ready. After I'm finished the temple picture can go back up and you'll never be able to tell that I made this big mess.

Cutting into the wall was a daring move. To date, I have pulled over 200 feet of cable into this wall and the rest of the room. Needless to say it has been a big job. Maybe I'll start putting it all back together tomorrow.

I've decided to put the dvd and receiver in the left hand corner of the room as you face the fireplace. That's the reason for most of this wire mess, but 'hey' it won't show when I'm all done. My boss bought a flat panel TV and left all of the cables dangling. It looks terrible; about like these pictures show, only it is finished.

It's been a nightmare figuring this all out--but "by GEORGE" I've almost got it.

PS: The bedroom project is finished and we now do not have to walk under the ladder to go to bed.
