Manassas City Public Schools needs a middle school art teacher. Pay for teachers in our school district starts at $40,000/yr. Rent for a two bedroom apt starts at $1000/mo. :( I'm sure there will tons of jobs for Brian, it's still early!! Heck, just move somewhere where subbing pays well. Subs make $100/day out here. That goes up to $180/day if you get a long-term assignment. But that $1000 rent will get you every time. Something will come along, I'm sure.

Okay, now I've got it!! Move to my dream area: Raleigh NC. They have TONS of job openings for art teachers. It's one of the cheapest and fastest growing cities in America. Wake County Public Schools is where you look for listings. They pay $30,000 and offer discounts for moving. And get this: A nice townhome like ours only costs $75,000!!!! If you want to rent, nice apt's are 450-600/mo. Dang it, I'm going to move down there if you don't!

Check out the albuquerque journal (www.abqjournal.com) there has been several teaching positions. I also found a few ads for teachers what I looked at the albuquerque school district website. (http://ww2.aps.edu/)

Good luck Brian
