The Quilt
Another post for Tammy. I hope she will add a comment or two. This is a quilt that she just finished. Currently the quilt is laying on the bed in Jenni's old room upstairs. It is a queen size quilt. She did a great job.
Here is the story of the quilt. Last year I went to JoAnn fabric store after Christmas and they were having a clearance sale. All of the previous years quilt kits were on sale at 75% off. There were about 12 kits in all and one of the kits was the finishing kit which you put around the outside of the quilt. I was really surprised when the total came up to be about $40. When I started actually sewing the quilt all of the kits had the material already cut out so all you had to do was sew them together. It was the simpliest quilt I have ever made. I might do it again this year. The most expensive part was the machine quilting that I had to pay someone to do. It turned out to be a fun, fun project that was quick and simple.
