Who is this lean mean party machine?

As I was getting ready for church today I put on this nice pair of pants. Tammy took this picture of me standing in our bedroom. I turned to side to show off my "vanished" grandpa belly. Where did it go? Travis and Melanie got me going on this exercise routine when they were training for the Baltimore Marathon. I'm still doing 3 miles a day on the treadmill, usually 7 days a week.

So, I pull out the suit pants I was wearing last April. I would need a rope to hold them around my waist.

I've lost 8 inches around my waist. I still can't believe it. These pants used to be too tight on me.




This is unbelievable unless you really see me in real life. I hope to stay like this. The exercise is so good. I really enjoy it. The weight loss is really not a diet as I'm eating well. What I've done is completely changed my eating habits.
I'm eating better; meaning, I love this new way of eating. For me the trick is to eat a great breakfast, good lunch, and small dinner. Why didn't I do this before now? Thanks for the example Travis and Melanie.

Holy Cow!! You look GREAT!! And, you could use a new tie...haha But really, we're so impressed...way to go!

You look great, Dad! I've kind of slacked off after running the half-marathon. Now I need to follow your example to get myself to the next level.

Wow Dan, you are awesomely amazing! I want to start that diet and exercise program in January after the holidays are over! Thanks for your inspiration :-). You look incredible and even more handsome than ever--if that's possible...
