Without the furniture

Well, it's getting closer. This is a picture of the room without the furniture. I still have the molding for the fireplace to finish and the transition at the doorway needs to be stained and varnished.

I had to take the floor almost completely apart as once it was finished Tammy pointed out a mistake that I had made. It really made me feel bad as crawling around on my hands and knees is getting to be pretty painful for me and it meant another day of work. Also doing a floor like this is like putting a puzzle together. Maybe that's why I cried about having to do it again as I hate doing puzzles. The pile of boards is how I arranged each piece so I could put them back exactly in the same order. It worked out pretty good and wasn't as painful as I thought it would be.

Hopefully we will get the furniture back in this weekend or early next week. I'll post follow up pictures if your interested.
