We made this great dinner yesterday and I forgot to take some pictures. Tammy made Mongolian beef and spicy Chicken from a PF Chang's recipe she found on the internet. When we were in Las Vegas we had this dinner and thought it would be easy to make. It was pretty easy and very good.
We also made some potstickers. This picture is what the potstickers look like before you cook them. They look much better when they are golden brown. They consist of a pork mixture which includes cabbage and some seasonings (ginger, etc.) Next, a small amount of the mixture is put inside a Chinese wrapper (purchased at WINCO), which you freeze. When you cook them you just take them out of the freezer and fry them up in a little EVOO and steam them with about 1/4 cup of water for 6-7 minutes. You dip them in a soy sauce (Tammy made up a great recipe for the sauce) and boy are they good. I should have taken some pictures while we were making them so you could see them better, but I forgot. It was great meal.

Krista,
Are these kinda like the dumplings that you guys have talked about?
I really can't imagine eating some of the real Chinese food that you guys have come up across.
We buy frozen potstickers from Costco. They are sooo good! They are frozen too...in fact we're having some right now for dinner! Yum I can't wait to try your recipe sometime.
This is basically what is called a dumpling here...those would be "jhien jhou"...fried dumpling. You should send me the recipe so I can try it out here. I've been dying to make dumplings, but I can never get a straight answer as to what is inside....and I guess maybe I don't want to know!
Hi Dan and Tam, funny but we had potstickers tonight too! I would love to learn how to make them from scratch but I too buy them at Costco Melanie.
My favorite Chinese restaurant is P.F. Chang's. I've tried many of the entrees and it's all GOOD!
