I thought I would drop a short note. If you haven’t checked out the posting from Grant & Blake on their Blog it is great! I especially liked Grant’s posting (of course done by Trav). It reminded me of when our kids were little and some of the hard times we had getting the children to bed. Brian was especially bad at nap times or anytime that going to bed was involved. Jenni was the same way. It seemed like it was story after story that she required. Sometimes I would just make up the words and would actually fall asleep in her bed and she would be up playing and having a great time. Or I would fall asleep and she and Angie would adorn my hairs with 1000’so berets.
One memory of I have when the kids were growing up was building a water slide in the back yard. I always thought it would have been cool to put a slide from the deck. This was on the Calico house. Can anyone remember the address?........phone number?
We could never afford to build the slide from the deck but oft times we would get a large black piece of plastic and make a slide in the front yard on the hill. I can still hear the girls squealing as they ran up and down the hill. Sometimes Tam and I would both get in our swimming suites and slide with them. Now that’s a hideous thought. Can you imagine that image? On second thought erase that image. I think I’ll try making a slide like that in the pit of our current house?
I don’t know why I’m writing this. I suppose because Melanie’s experience with Grant made me think back on some of the things that happen to us while raising our kids.
Jen, do you and Angie remember the playhouse I built for you or the little cupboard, table, and chairs? I remember spending hours after work building a cute little playhouse in the back yard. FYI: When I drove by the house on Calico a few weeks ago I noticed that the playhouse had been torn down. SAD…..SAD………SAD….
Well, gotta get back to business.

2302 Calico. 524-0270.
That address has been used as a password in the past for me. I have, however, moved on to a different address. Anyways, I do remember all those memories too. It's true, mom and dad wouldboth get in their bathing suits and play with us in the front yard. I loved that playhouse, although Brian used it mostly for his "Penguin Club" and kicked me out alot of the time. I have been wondering what ever happened to that old wooden kitchen set you built. That would've been a cool thing for our kids to play with too. Good times. GOod times.
liked your posting too, and all the funny stories, it makes me laugh to remember them. you should complile all your memories in a book (mine perhaps..hehe)..loved the stories though, share more when you think of them.
