Madison's Video to use at the Children's Congress
Brian, Krista, Madi, and me put together this video today for Madi to use when she goes to DC to present her case to Congress. It could only be 45 seconds and this is what we came up with.

Mom's 80th
Here is a video that includes some of the pictures I took when the family got together for mom's 80th birthday celebration. Thanks to all that attended, both this event and Juliette's baptism, which was held the same morning of this event.

Madison is baptised
I'm posting Madison's baptism on my blog. Now I have 4 videos of the baptisms this year and Abby's new years ago. What a treat for me to watch and see happen. I love this girl. In this video you can see the glow in her face. She is beautiful.

Abby's baptism Video
I've been trying hard to get caught up on my grand children baby videos and baptism videos. This is the last of the baptism videos for this year. Tammy and I have 4 grand kids that have been baptized. They are pretty special kids. We love them all. This is Abby's. She was baptized 2 years ago. Hopefully the church will forgive me for using some footage of the Christ movie.
Abby sang this song at the baptism, but I didn't have any footage. I wonder what's up with that...I'm Mr. camera man after all.

Making Sugar Cookies in the Shape of an 8
This event happened the night before Grant's baptism. We made cookies together. We really like Melanie's parents.
I know I'm posting a lot of videos here. I've been trying to catch up last years videos. I'm approaching about 50 now, but I'm almost done with last year. Here's another great.
I love Hayden's thumb's up and Kent's BM rambling (you would have had to been there; it was funny).

I do indeed give thanks for my many blessing....such as this. What a wonderful opportunity not only for them, but for all of us. I have a GREAT FAMILY. Love you all.
Turkey in a Bucket
This is definitely one of my favorite videos of all time. I am getting a turkey ready for marinating. It's what I called "Turkey in a Bucket". Tyler was helping me. I really love this video.

Lower Palisades Hike
If you think this is cheesy then you're not a true Romantic. Here is me and my Sweetheart. I've watched this at least 20 times after making it. I love it.
Somewhere in Time
Wonderful pictures of Travis and Melanie and their Kids. Thanks to this wonderful photographer friend of Trav and Mel's.
Love this video.

A great link
Brian is in the process of having his students paint a huge trailer to honor our veterans. He recently developed a Powerpoint Presentation and included a picture of his Grandpa Saunders in uniform and shared it with his middle school students. He even had several veterans from Ontario come to his classes to talk to his classes and to share war stories.
Here is the link to a great article that the Ontario Paper wrote about his project. I'm proud of you Brian! Way to go.

New Video for my archive's
Well, I finally finished Juliette's baby video. She is now almost 8 years old, so these pictures may bring back some memories. I've tried to do one for all our grandkids. I still need to do one for Ben and Blake and the twins. I'd like to do Madison's again as the pictures are only of her in one outfit. I'm hoping to get pictures of Blake when we go next week for Grant's baptism. Yes, we are headed to T&M's house next week. Excited to see them.

Twins Get Blessed
On Sunday September 5th, we got up at 3:00 a.m. and drove to Oregon for the blessing of Connor and Jackson. Krista's dad blessed Connor and I was able to bless Jackson. What a neat opportunity. Thank you for letting me do it Brian and Krista. It was Awesome. Here is one of the better family pictures that I got. It was kinda cold outside so we weren't able to take pictures at the church.
After the meeting we took a few pictures at the house. This is one of my favorite ones. Little Connor's head is just nestled into the shoulder of his little brother Jackson, who is really the bigger of the two, but still the youngest. Great picture.

Check out Connor's smile in this pose. He is saying, "I like your shoulder bro". Jackson is saying, "get em off me mommy". . . .Funny and cute.
Oh no, they're sitting us up again. Can't they tell we are asleep? Come on guys, give us a break. We're tired....Sacrament meeting wore us out.
Jackson then says, "I'm really surprised my grandpa didn't change my name to Jackson Daniel Hobbs. I really wanted to be nicknamed Jack Daniels."

Monkey gets a haircut
So I catch Tyler in the basement with Jason and Benjamen. Tyler was the ring leader of giving the long hairy monkey a haircut.
This was my first "cut" when recording this incident. Jason was crying because I caught him and took the scissors away from him.

Four cute grandchildren
Today Roy Allen and me met Angela in the park for "Lunch in the Park". After lunch Roy and I took Madison, Ben, and Tyler to the Pocatello Zoo. It was a fun time.

Jackson in Portland
This is a picture of little baby Jackson in Portland. He is still awaiting his procedure/surgery. He is stable and seems to be doing okay. Unfortunately it had been rescheduled again until tomorrow afternoon. We're bummed out about the wait, but nothing we can do but wait it out.
Brian and baby Jackson in his isolette here in Portland. The procedure/surgery could take 4-5 hours once they begin it. His tentative time is 2:00 p.m. tomorrow June 11th.
Connor the twin in Boise
I'm in the waiting room in Portland and waiting for Brian and Tammy to give an update on Jackson's status. Meanwhile I found this great wifi hotspot and had some pictures of Connor to post. Isn't this cute?
I will post pictures of Jackson shortly. He hasn't had his surgery yet and we are still waiting on when that will happen. In the meantime he seems to be doing well.
We stopped by St. Al's in Boise on our way to Portland to see Connor. Here are a couple of pictures of Tammy holding him. He is so cute. Krista was at the motel sleeping so we didn't get to see her. He seems to be doing well and is so cute.
Here is a couple shot of a proud Grandma holding her grand baby Conner. He was eating well. Notice the cute little hat he has on. Angela made one for both Connor and Jackson.

I hope you enjoy these pictures of Connor.
This is Connor. Please keep these kids in your prayers
Brian and Krista's twins were born this morning. Their names are Jackson
and Connor. Jackson isn't doing well. They were born in Caldwell, but
shipped to Boise where they found that Jackson has a pulmonary valve
that isn't working correctly. He needs to have surgery, which will be
done in Portland, Oregon tomorrow.
Brian is flying to Portland with Jackson. Connor is doing well, but is in intensive care and will be in Boise for a few weeks. Krista is in Caldwell still. When Roy & Cheryl (Krista's parents) get there shortly, Brian will go get her and take her to Boise to see the boys.
The pulmonary valve is in the heart so this will be be a heart surgery, which they will try to fix via a catheter approach. If that's not successful it will be open heart surgery.

Angel's Landing at Zions
During spring break Tammy and I went to Zions and did a few hikes. These are some pictures and a video from Angel's Landing. We did the whole hike except for the last 1/2 mile. Tammy was a real trooper and braved the steep inclines even though she is afraid of heights. The last 3/4 mile is done with chains. I did about a 1/4 of a mile or so until I thought it was unsafe to continue. Last year an ISU faculty fell from this hike and was killed. I suppose that was in the back of my mind as I was climbing. Additionally, there were a lot of people doing the hike and some of the danger was coming "face to face" with another hiker and debating on who would let go of the chain to let the other person by. Regardless, it was fun doing the part of the hike that we did. Round trip was over 12 miles or so.

Special Day for a Special Granddaughter
Doesn't Madison look pretty in this new dress. We are getting ready to go into the church for the baptism.
We were lucky enough to be able to go to Madison's baptism this past weekend. Her birthday was on Saturday and she turned 8 years old.
It was so neat to see her get baptized. Here is a picture at the font prior to her baptism. She later said that the water was warm and that she "felt so good inside". She is a wonderful granddaughter and we love her very much.
Here is a picture of us in the high council room. After the baptism she was confirmed a member of the church by her dad. It happened in this room. These are a few of the pictures we were lucky enough to get after the confirmation.

Flying Kite then getting read to go to "Hello Dolly"
It has been a great month to fly kites. We just need to get a better kite. We had difficulty getting his one in the air, but the kids had a great time with it.
Getting Ready to go to the Play
Hello Dolly
We went to see "Hello Dolly", which is playing in Blackfoot this past weekend. Here is a picture of mom, Connie, Jenni, and the girls outside of the theater after the show. Jenni and the girls were visiting this past weekend while Ted was at a writers conference in Provo.
Here is a picture of Abby and Juliette with 2 of the main characters. After the show the the girls ran to the front to shake hands. Tammy was able to get this quick snapshot. These two characters were my favorites. The woman is in Angie and Cory's ward. She was the best singer.
Abby was so fun to watch. She loved it and laughed her heart out. Here she is with one of her favorite characters. He was very funny.
Here we are sitting on the 2nd row waiting for the show to start. Thanks everyone for going. We enjoyed having everyone visit and for the fun time.
